Christmas Party Fun! / Parti Hwylus Nadolig!

Residents and the Friends of Bodlondeb came together for their annual Christmas party. Residents were served drinks by the Friends, while Gareth (the new Manager) went round with warm mince pies. Some of the Home's staff came to join in the Carol singing and then came the surprise – Father Christmas turned up or should that have been Mrs Christmas, as it turned out to be newly retired Mrs Janice Petche. After the laughter had died down, Janice went round with a present, given by the Friends, for every Resident. The Friends of Bodlondeb then presented to Gareth, a gift for the Home – a digital camera, camera case and tripod – so that Residents and the Home can continue to keep a record of events, functions and any other items of interest.

Daeth trigolion a Ffrindiau Bodlondeb at ei gilydd i ddathlu eu parti Nadolig. Gweiniodd y diodydd gan y Ffrindiau i'r trigolion, tra i Gareth (y rheolwr newydd) mynd o gwmpas gyda mins peis cynnes. Daeth rhai o'r staff y Cartref mewn i ymuno yn y canu Carolau ac yna cafodd pawb syndod mawr daeth Siôn Gorn mewn neu efallai dyle hwnna bod Mrs Corn, achos roedd Mrs Janice Petche (newydd wedi ymddeol fel rheolwraig y Cartref) wedi gwisgo fel Siôn Corn. Ar ôl i bawb gorffen chwerthin, aeth Janice o gwmpas gydag anrhegion i bob un o'r trigolion, oddi wrth Ffrindiau Bodlondeb. Wedyn, rhoddodd y Ffrindiau anrheg, ar gyfer y Cartref, i Gareth – camera digidol, cês camera a treipod – er mwyn i'r trigolion a'r Cartref cadw atgofion o ddigwyddiadau, achlysuron neu unrhyw eitemau o ddiddordeb.

A quite excellent resumé bringing to life the residency and work at Bodlondeb. This addition to the website, given by Mrs Jeremiah, giving such an insight to the care of the residents by the dedicated staff, the facilities and the surroundings, makes the site much more interesting, not only from the casual visitor's point of view but also from that of any prospective client.
Well done Aunty Marj, long may your new career as producer and presenter of programmes flourish, and hopefully there is more in the pipeline!
